Rad Garden Party

Hey Friends! Rose and I got like way too many plants. Like 200 square feet of plants. We need help getting them in the ground!

Please join us for a garden party! I'm calling it that because it sounds nicer than a please-help-me-with-yard-work party. It's also a party in two phases 'cause we're fancy.

Come to one or both or neither, just let us know if you plan to attend!

Phase 1 - Yardwork: 9am - 1pm
Phase 2 - Party: 1pm - Whenever we kick you out

Before shot, we'll hopefully be using some of the soil from the planting area to fill the raised beds!

Phase 1 - Yardwork

9am start, hoping to be done by 1pm. We'll be planing ~200sqft of local Colorado low-water plants. Here's the link to where we got them and I've included a couple images below.

Sunlit Fiesta: Fiesta is right! There will be a disco ball hat.

Butterfly Haven: Butterfly haven! I like butterflies! What good marketing.

What to expect:
This will be a good amount of digging / tilling, some chopping of some deep old tree roots (though I WILL break out the power tools for those fuckers), planting, running drip line, mulching, and cleaning up. I'll have all the materials but if you have a shovel, hoe, rake, or trowel, bring them along!

Phase 2 - Partay

We were busy and really not feeling a 4th of July party. We definitely still aren't feeling patriotic, so let's do an end-of-summer / early equinox shindig. This will be following the yard work stuff, the more people who show up for yardwork the faster we partay. In the Rad Zone. Yeah I'm cool.

We're planning on:

  • Pizza
  • BBQ
  • Greg's baked goods
  • Other healthy foods?
  • Beer / cider / libations
  • Aerial rig
  • Photography
  • Painting permanent parts of our home and surrounds random colors?
  • Dogs!

We cook vegetarian but I'll recruit some meat-eater friends to handle meat bbq and such. I have a spot for dietary stuff on the form.

This is one of our previous parties. Neither Rose or I remember the context.
